Two summers ago, I booked a month abroad with my family through a program called Boundless Life. It promised adventure, community, and ease. We got some of that… but also some below-expectation experiences.

So last summer, I (along with several other families) went the opposite direction. Full DIY. I found our housing, researched local camps, coordinated schedules, and met up with a small group of people we met from the summer before on the weekends. It was freeing… and exhausting.

Both experiences were transformational. Neither was simple. And that’s exactly why I recorded this week’s podcast.
