Bonus tools and takeaways
As a community member, I ask each of our guests to share with us some tangible tools, tips, links and personal stories as little extras for you.
What is your professional superpower and how has it shown up in your personal and family life?
I am a big believer in the power of the 1% gain. Both in my personal and professional life I try my best to make the most of the small details matter, add up, and become what you are known for. Since the start of my career I could boil it down to consistency and determination.
What are you cooking these days?
I make a lot of "non-recipes" and make the same meals on rotation for my family. One constant that I really look forward to is an at-home date night with my husband. We put the kids down early, make a variety of crostini and watch a movie.
What are you reading?
The Source which goes into the science behind manifestation.
What are you listening to?
I am frequently listening to Mel Robbins podcast and for fun Taylor Swift's new album. I think she is a master at her craft, her ability to reinvent herself is incredible.
What are you wearing - mom uniform, for work, for weekends?Ā
Crisp white button up, trousers and sneakers are my go to work uniform.
What are the products, services or rituals you canāt live without in your daily routine?
For everyday - I love using tinted sunscreen, Tarte cosmetics - they are clean and effective, especially their lip oils
Note from Barbara: I also love Tarteās tinted BB cream with sunscreen, it's my everyday go-to instead of foundation.
Favorite accounts to follow?
I always stop scrolling for Julia at Smarter in a Sec, she provides useful thoughtful content.
Where are you traveling?
I recently came back from Palm Beach, for the first girls trip since becoming a mom. It filled my cup (beyond!) and although life is really busy, it reminded me how important it is to care for all aspects of our life - outside of motherhood and career.
