Bonus tools and takeaways
As a community member, I ask each of our guests to share with us some tangible tools, tips, links and personal stories as little extras for you.
What is your professional superpower and how has it shown up in your personal and family life?
Caring about people, particularly the people that I manage, and that I live with :) Understanding the goals that people have, the things that drive or worry them, and wanting to support them allows our work to be collaborative, and with the central goal of having them feel really good every day. I believe that makes people more motivated in their work, seen at home, and allows for better long-term success. It also allows us to have more transparent or harder conversations, because it comes from a place of great care for who they are as people.
What are you cooking these days?
Big fan of one pot, easy, easy meals that also taste great! I I love the NYT Cooking app; check out their Roasted Provencal Chicken. So easy and delicious.
What are you reading?
Constantly reading a book — right now it’s “Good Material” by Dolly Alderton.
What are you listening to?
I also constantly have a book going on Audible.
What are you wearing - mom uniform, for work, for weekends?
I just discovered wide leg and boyfriend jeans from Kut from the Kloth. The material is stretchy, they look amazing, and the price point is great.
What are the products, services or rituals you can’t live without in your daily routine?
CeraVe SPF 30 tinted hydrating mineral screen. An SPF with a tiny bit of color that means I don’t have to wear makeup on days that I don’t feel like it!
Favorite accounts to follow?
Nicholas Thompson, CEO of The Atlantic, has a newsletter on LinkedIn called, “The Best Things to Read.” A great mix of current events, reviews of literature, and all-around great stuff.
Where are you traveling?
I’m in a family of sports nuts, so we are taking our kids to the Olympics! Doubt it will be the most relaxing week I’ll have in Paris, but I’ll take it.
